RARE MING DYNASTY VASE USED AS DOORSTOP...

MING DYNASTY VASE USED AS DOORSTOP IN NEW YORK HOME SELLS FOR $1.3 MILLION

NEW YORK, N.Y. - A rare Ming Dynasty vase that had been used as a doorstop in a New York home has sold for $1.3 million at auction.

The blue and white moon flask was auctioned Wednesday at Sotheby's sale of Chinese works of art. Its presale estimate was $600,000 to $900,000.

The piece had been in the same family collection for decades. The auction house said the family decided to sell it after seeing a similar piece in a Sotheby's advertisement.

Say it isn't so!  Why can't we ever find anything rare and worthwhile in the heap of junk we got at home?  Craziness!

Scorned Husband in Jealous Spray

 photo paintrevenge_zpsbb1bbaa4.jpg

A FURIOUS husband has taken public revenge on his wife's admirer in an unlikely place -- his rival's garage door.
A Reddit user with the screen name igotskraped posted a photo of a garage attached to a house in Illinois, tagged with a very clear message in red spray paint: "Don't e-mail my wife!!!!"
The scorned spouse added on the smaller side entrance: "Stop now".
The images were shared a month ago. There has been no update on this very public love triangle.
